Intravascular Access - Peripheral Cannulation
This cannulation course involves the taught theory of Vascular Access and practical application.
The 1/2 day will include learning and discussion on:

Anatomy & physiology

Local policy & procedure

Infection control

Cannulation equipment

Documentation
Followed by a practical skills workshop, to consolidate learnt theory and practice, giving participants time to practice their new skills under direct supervision and guidance.
Please be aware after this course you will be required to complete supervised cannulations before clinical sign off, within your own clinical setting. A Competency Handbook will be provided in order to achieve this.
