ECG Interpretation - Advanced Practice
ECG Interpretation – Advanced is a higher-level 2 Day Advanced Practice course intended for experienced nurses, paramedics, doctors, and advanced clinical practitioners who regularly interpret ECGs in acute or specialist settings. The course focuses on complex rhythm analysis, ischemic changes, and advanced diagnostic patterns to support accurate clinical decision-making and timely intervention. Course assessment consists of a practice workbook, Case reviews, MCQs and OSCE assessments, along with an MDT table top diagnostics & treatment planning exercise.

On Completion learners will:

Perform advanced, systematic ECG interpretation with clinical correlation

Identify and differentiate complex arrhythmias, including supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias

Interpret ECG changes associated with acute coronary syndromes, including STEMI and NSTEMI

Recognise signs of electrolyte imbalance, drug effects, and pacemaker rhythms on ECGs

Analyse ECG patterns associated with structural heart disease and inherited conditions

Identify life-threatening ECG abnormalities requiring immediate intervention

Integrate ECG findings into broader patient assessment to support safe, evidence-based clinical decisions
