Verification of Death: Principles and Practice is a focused, practical course designed for registered nurses who wish to develop competence in determining whether a patient is deceased in line with professional, legal, and local policy frameworks.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the distinctions between verification and certification of death, learn to perform thorough clinical examinations, and apply systematic procedures for both expected and unexpected deaths.
The course also covers post-mortem care, accurate documentation, legal responsibilities, and reporting requirements, equipping nurses with the confidence and knowledge to carry out this critical role safely, respectfully, and professionally.
