Service Description

our PEG Feeding & Management Course is designed to equip nurses working in social care with the essential knowledge and practical skills to deliver safe, person-centred care to individuals with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes. This comprehensive 3-hour face-to-face session covers anatomy and physiology, PEG tube types and feeding protocols, medication administration, complication recognition, and multidisciplinary communication. Whether you're new to PEG care or refreshing your skills, this course supports professional confidence, safety, and dignity in care. Learning Outcomes:- Participants will be able to: Describe the anatomy and physiology relevant to PEG feeding. Identify indications, contraindications, and PEG tube types. Demonstrate correct techniques for PEG feeding and medication administration. Recognise and respond to common PEG complications. Document care accurately and communicate effectively with families and the MDT.
