Airway Management & Catastrophic Bleeding Control – Full Day Course This intensive one-day course equips healthcare professionals, first responders, and high-risk industry staff with the essential skills to recognise, prioritise, and manage two of the most immediate threats to life: airway compromise and catastrophic bleeding. Through a blend of expert-led teaching, hands-on simulation, and practical skills stations, participants will develop the confidence to act decisively in time-critical situations. Course Content Includes: Airway assessment and management techniques (basic to advanced adjuncts) Oxygen therapy and monitoring Recognition of airway compromise Practical use of airway adjuncts and supraglottic devices (i-gel, OP, NP airways) Principles of catastrophic haemorrhage control Tourniquet application and haemostatic dressings Direct pressure and wound packing techniques Prioritisation using C-ABC (Catastrophic Bleeding – Airway – Breathing – Circulation) Who Should Attend: Healthcare professionals (hospital, pre-hospital, primary care, and social care settings) Emergency responders, security, and military staff Staff working in high-risk environments where trauma may occur By the end of the course, learners will be confident in applying lifesaving interventions to secure the airway and control catastrophic bleeding — when every second matters.
